Exploring the science of startups

Teaching

I am an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Stetson University.

Teaching Philosophy

Every day, eager new entrepreneurs launch businesses with no formal training.

Those who succeed learn persistence and resourcefulness through their experiences. In other words, they overcome or sidestep challenges that teach them vital entrepreneurial skills, such as acquiring and maximizing every asset and advantage available through creative problem solving.

I know this because I was one of those eager, nascent entrepreneurs. Now, I use experiential pedagogy to teach and mentor my students, so they acquire essential entrepreneurship skills within the forgiving confines of the classroom.
